Read before publication

Each Cresthollow Bay book goes out to a handful of readers before it reaches the shop. They get the manuscript a few weeks ahead of publication, in whichever format suits the device they read on, and in return they post an honest review around release week.

The group is small on purpose. I read every application, and tend to pick people who already read in this corner of the genre and who can say, with some specificity, why they think the book will land for them. A few lines is plenty; thoughtful beats long.

What I'm asking

• Read the book in the weeks before publication.
• Post an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads (or both, if you're game) within a week or so of release.
• Keep the manuscript to yourself. Please don't share the file or quote from it before publication day.
• Honest means honest. A two-star review from someone who actually engaged with the book is more useful to me than a five-star from someone who skimmed it.
